Volt is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader that will support and guide you in your career. As a Quality Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. This is a first shift position. As a Quality Engineer you will:

• Respond to customer complaints in customer feedback system.
• Perform routine failure analysis of returned complaint samples.
• Plans, executes, and documents results of product stability testing with guidance from experienced Product Assurance engineers, including managing samples and performing analytical testing.
• Performs analytical tests as required in support of department and division goals

Estimated Duration 24+ months. The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in engineering, chemistry, or a life science.

Preferred Skills:

• Analytical testing experience using instruments such as HPLC, UV spectrophotometers, Karl Fischer titrators, rheometers, Instron stress and strain testers, pycnometers.
• One or more years' experience in a quality engineering or quality technician role.
• Experience working in a quality or technical role in the medical device industry.
• Skills include written communication in English, organization skills applied to managing multiple samples and testing conditions, project management skills.
