Position Summary:  The Electrical Engineer II will serve as primary technical point of contact for a full range of US DoD products, systems, and services. This individual will participate in engineering development, prototyping, design verification, and transition to production on complex analog, digital, and radio frequency (RF) products.

Position Responsibilities: •  Work cross-functionally across the organization (program management, procurement, operations, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, test, production, business development, contracts) •  Create innovative ideas in support of internal research and development. •  Generate and implement improvements in product design and test throughput. •  Interface directly with customers and suppliers to support technical issues. •  Provide training, mentorship, and leadership to engineering and test staff •  Research and apply electrical engineering principles and theories to solve customer problems •  Support full program life cycles (concept, specification, prototype, production, sustainment) •  Participate in design processes using established design and development process models (CMMI, Six Sigma for Design, or equivalent) •  Create, review, approve Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variances (RFVs) •  Support systems engineering, software engineering, and mechanical engineering efforts •  Create and update corporate and engineering processes and procedures •  Performs other duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

Skills & Abilities: •  Knowledge of various types of electronic circuits including microprocessor/microcomputer, conversion, (A/D, D/A, synchro, power, etc.), analog signal processing, AC/DC and DC/AC converters, digital, radio frequency (RF), and embedded circuits. •  Familiar with EMI/EMC design •  Ability to review of physical design, electronic schematics and PCB layouts of new products, preferably in the military market. •  Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and test reviews. •  Work with more senior level Electrical Engineers to develop and implement test plans and procedures and test fixtures. •  Familiar with the following; Boundary scan, Xilinx VHDL, Digital design, Microprocessor/Microcontroller •  Military product design experience helpful, but not necessary •  PWB layout-desired tool Altium Designer •  Familiarity with industry and military specifications •  Ability to communicate and interface with the customer internal and external •  Familiar with AS9100, ISO 9001, CMMI •  Familiar with configuration Management (MIL-HDBK-61A, EIA-649) •  Strong technical writing, verbal communication skills, and self-motivated.

Qualifications: •  Bachelor of Science degree from a 4 year accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related field. •  5+ years experience in design and production of high reliability DoD products and systems •  Experience in writing and reviewing technical proposals and developing engineering estimates. •  Test engineering experience (instrumentation, procedure development, automated software development, troubleshooting) •  Demonstrated ability to develop and implement test plans and procedures and test fixtures. •  Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Work Environment: •  Office Environment:  Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •  Hours: 7:30 AM -- 5:00 PM Monday -- Thursday; Friday 7:30 AM -- 4:00 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations. •  9/80 work schedule. •  Office located in Lititz, PA.
