Description:
We are looking for an Accounts Payable to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.
Expected to open in Q3 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital – and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt’s continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon. Located in the center of Lisbon’s bustling Baixa district and situated along the main pedestrian road, Rua Augusta, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). This central building of the hotel will offer 170 guestrooms, with the surrounding four satellite buildings of the hotel offering guests various private suites to choose from. This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.
We are looking for a talented and passionate Accounts Payable to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.
Responsibilities:
Process and review invoices: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
Verify vendor account details: Reconcile discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
Enter and post invoices: Use the accounts payable system to record transactions.
Prepare and issue payments: Utilize various methods such as checks and ACH transfers.
Maintain records: Keep up-to-date records of all payables transactions.
Documentation: Ensure proper documentation for payments and obtain necessary approvals.
Month-end and year-end closing: Assist in closing processes to ensure timely recording and payment of invoices.
Vendor inquiries: Respond to and resolve issues regarding payments, discrepancies, or account balances.
Vendor files: Maintain and update vendor files and contract information.
Audits: Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
