Northrop Grumman’s Chief Information and Digital Office is seeking well-qualified Windows System Administrators to join its dynamic team of technical professionals across the United States. Individuals possessing the clearance level and systems administration experience detailed below should apply and enter career discovery about our openings.

Windows Systems Administrator:

  • Perform as a self-sufficient Windows Systems Administrator for a large classified government contract.

  • Maintain efficient operations of the entire IT infrastructure including Windows desktop, servers and networking equipment.

Principal Windows Systems Administrator:

  • Serve as primary Windows Systems Administrator supporting multiple networks and ensuring necessary IT administration tasks are completed.

  • Proficient in Windows client and server including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, and hardening the system.

Sr. Principal Windows Systems Administrator:

  • Perform as a Lead Windows Systems Administrator building and maintaining Classified Windows Domains in effective operations to include Active Directory (AD) maintenance and support, Group Policy (GPO), DNS management, DHCP and scopes, Windows Server Update Servers (WSUS), SCCM and Certificate Authority (CA) server.

  • Spin up virtual environments and map connectivity to network storage.

Basic Qualifications by level:

  • Windows Systems Administrator - Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Principal Windows Systems Administrator - Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Sr. Principal Windows Systems Administrator - Associate’s degree and 11 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 7 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

Background and Experience Needed For All System Administrator Positions:

  • Experience maintaining Classified Windows Domains to include Windows server.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company as a condition of continued employment.

  • Currently valid Security+CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date; certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $130,000.00Salary Range 2: $107,800.00 - $181,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
