Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Foundry Material Coordinator C to join its team within the Mission Systems Organization. This position is located in Linthicum, Maryland.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Oversee deliveries of incoming material from delivery vehicles, examine/note material for damage and communicate issues to superiors. Process outgoing shipments utilizing best method of transportation and proper packaging requirements. Utilize SAP and material management systems to process the receipt, storage, and issuing of material from storerooms. Properly unload, store, and deliver hazardous/flammable chemicals and arrange for the removal of toxic wastes as required. Monitor equipment used for material handling. Transport internal NG materials to and from NG Plant 4 buildings (P004 ATL and 900 International) dock/storeroom locations using NG authorized vehicle. Open, fill, close, and transport dewars for internal customer use. Maintain storeroom inventory of cleanroom garments and transport them to and from internal cleanrooms for use.

PERFORM WORK OF EQUAL OR LOWER SKILL LEVEL AS REQUIRED.
1. Shipping and Receiving
Process a variety of outgoing documentation, material and equipment by performing duties such as: performing basic SAP and facility specific inventory system transactions, checking packaging requirements, assuring proper wrapping, dimensions/weights, sealing and labeling of packages and crates.
Utilize the best method of transportation, referring to documentation for destination, considering factors such as expense, delivery times, and end user requirements. Acquire and maintain IATA and DOT HAZMAT shipping certifications.
Examine incoming material deliveries for any damage incurred during transit, photograph damage, notify area Supervisor of damage, and provide support with damage claim effort.
Process all incoming material documentation by performing duties such as checking material quantity against the packing slip, COC/COA and Purchase Order. Communicate SAP Shipping & Receiving issues to management. Route inspectable material to Mission Assurance and process any defective material back to the vendor. Assure that material is delivered to designated area(s) or storeroom(s) for inventory induction.
Must have a clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance, to handle, package, receive, and ship classified material.
2. Production Control and Engineering Storerooms
Perform activities to monitor and maintain accurate inventory control of storeroom material and records to include precious metals. Stock material and fill storeroom requisitions while verifying for accuracy and required signatures. Perform recurring cycle counts. Receive material in SAP and facility specific inventory systems and communicate issues to management or team lead.
Monitor and procure materials needed for storeroom stock utilizing Northrop Grumman Purchasing Card (P-Card). Process P-Card accounting activity as required to ensure monthly account settlement , this includes but is not limited to, obtaining invoices/packing slips, performing required recurring online reconciliation, submitting approved documentation package to P-Card program Administrator, and completing annual certification/training. Contact vendors to determine availability of material and expedite critical materials needs.
3. Gas and Chemical Storeroom
Maintain the proper storage/control of gas/chemicals classifications such as: hazardous, flammable, combustible, high pressure gas cylinders and toxic gases and refer to site EHSFP and management for issues encountered. Properly identify and apply the appropriate safety precautionary labels on material containers. Assure that certification is acquired and that the correct safety methods are utilized when handling, storing, issuing, and transporting these materials. Assure certification is acquired for chemical and waste handling, storage, issuing, and transporting within facility. Utilize respirator/PPE when required. Perform recurring cycle counts. Coordinate with internal SCM to schedule cylinder/dewar returns.
4. Monitor and Maintain Equipment for Material Handling
Perform miscellaneous duties such as maintaining fork lift/pallet jack/precious metals logbooks, and other equipment logbooks which also require approvals and inspection/safety checks. Notify management or team lead for unserviceable material handling equipment.
5. Material Transportation and Dock Operations
Stack or bundle assemblies/ materials/ in preparation for transport between NGC facilities or for delivery to external vendors. Transport materials/equipment between NGC Plant 4 buildings (P004 ATL and 900 International) using trucks, or within the buildings using hand trucks, electric dollies, elevators or other devices. Able to acquire and maintain DOT certification to vehicle.
6. Dewar Filling and Inventory
Able to be certified for handling Cryogenic materials. Perform Basic Liquifier On/Off procedures. Work with compressed gases and fill dewars per customer requests. Track helium distributed to customers using software tools. Move dewars to and from shipping/receiving areas and from multiple locations within the facility for filling and delivery to internal customers. Maintain dewar inventory and location to include incoming and outgoing dewars. Notify management or team lead of job specific logistical or technical issues. Perform cleaning as needed on dewars.
7. Garment Inventory and Kitting
Validate and coordinate all incoming and outgoing garments, store garments in a controlled storeroom, kit garment requirements, distribute kits, as well as separate and count soiled or damaged garments for return to vendor. Insure clean room garment inventory levels are sufficient for personnel needs in labs within the NG facility.

This is a 4th Shift position.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Previous experience in all phases of material transportation or equivalent.
