Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining facility-related equipment, production CNC & machining equipment, buildings, parking lots, and property. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 6 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime, including potential Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the organization’s physical operations, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems.

  • Assist in the maintenance of property, including offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through completion of preventive maintenance programs according to specifications.

  • Perform maintenance and repair of equipment, building, and property as needed.

  • Work with machines such as automated wash equipment, lathes, honing machines, presses, collets, hydraulic test stands, custom automated assembly units, PLCs, assembly robots, band saws, manual mills and lathes, air compressors, air dryers, material handling equipment, electrostatic filters, and hoists.

  • Conduct maintenance PMs for machines, including coolant, oil, and filter changes, electrical inspections, calibrations, motor swaps, pump swaps, hydraulic hose replacement, cleaning of heat exchangers, and hydraulic oil reservoir cleaning.

  • Troubleshoot low voltage electrical controls and logic controllers.

  • Complete daily Standard Work task lists and event reports.

  • Interface with appropriate staff/managers to implement maintenance needs and ensure timely response to requests.

  • Assist in maintaining proper spares inventory levels.

  • Participate in fire and safety inspections, correct any discrepancies, and ensure property complies with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Assist in maintaining waste disposal, including handling hazardous waste such as acetone, mineral spirits, or solvents.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, blueprint and schematic reading, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in working with hydraulic pumps, motors, and CNC machinery.

  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Comfortable using ladders and scaffolds and performing repetitive shoulder/arm/hand motions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a clean and organized facility.

  • History of maintaining a tenure in previous maintenance positions is preferred.

  • Capability to assist with fire and safety inspections and waste disposal management.

Work Environment

This role primarily operates in Plant 1 and Plant 3, where production and assembly occur. Plant 2 houses the CNC machinery. The work environment is very clean and organized, ensuring a comfortable and efficient workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincolnshire, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
