Construction Inspector
Job Description
Coordinate work with the contractor and observe all phases of construction activities for compliance with design documents and client standards. Document work as performed, review contractor requisitions for payment, prepare daily reports, and attend progress meetings. Manage quality and safety of projects and ensure schedules are met.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on engineering design criteria
Familiarity with trench dewatering, backfilling, and compaction of utility trenches and pavement/surface restoration
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents for desired infrastructure rehabilitation, replacement, and upgrades
Detail-oriented and a problem solver
Strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and staff
Solid project management and organizational skills
Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Desire to work in a team environment
Observe and enforce company and client safety requirements
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
Work Environment
Going to different residences/job sites around the city of Providence 5 days/week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
