Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

Service technicians on the environmental side are responsible for performing repairs and diagnostics on all equipment: customer-owned, company-owned, and those under warranty, both in-shop and at customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Complete repairs and perform maintenance on Company fleet

  • Complete repairs on customer equipment in a timely manner

  • Build knowledge of dealer-supported product lines, service standards, and procedures, and keep abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributor

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Service shop and Factory standards

  • Perform occasional service calls and overtime work

  • Perform basic field repair and maintenance jobs with minimal supervision

  • Basic testing knowledge of all machine systems

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

  • Develop and employ diagnostic-related reasoning skills

  • Examine the equipment to determine if additional safety-related or service work is required

  • Assist in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory control

  • Attend local, regional, national service schools and training sessions as requested

  • 2-year Diesel Technician/Mechanic degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy-duty chassis

  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience

  • Welding/cutting torch experience

Work Environment

You will be working in a warehouse with a team of 4-5 members. The position is on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Be open to working outside of business hours to meet any customer needs. Be prepared to work on dirty equipment and not be afraid of getting dirty.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
