Hexagon Agility Research Engineer in Lincoln, Nebraska
Summary
Hexagon R&D LLC is seeking a Research Engineer for our Lincoln, NE location.

The Research Engineer researches and evaluates new clean fuel solutions materials, products, processes, and equipment in support of new concept and product development, as well as verification and validation of Hexagon Agility’s existing clean fuel products and processes.
Job Responsibilities
· Develop solutions for problems as related to new and existing products, processes, materials, equipment, and testing.
· Participate as a team member in the conception, planning, and execution of projects.
· Define, coordinate, and support testing of new product internally or externally.
· Present findings clearly in written reports and verbally in a group setting.
· Develop, implement, and monitor projects within stated performance guidelines.
· Interact with personnel on technical matters that require coordination of activities.
· Support various company efforts when needed.
· Learn Hexagon Agility business process and ensure compliance with policies and work rules on all assignments.
· Provide engineering support for failure investigations.
· Position allows working from home 8-12 hours per week, but incumbents must live in the state of Nebraska.
Qualifications
· U.S. bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Engineering, or the foreign degree equivalent.
· Experience with material and process development for the manufacture and design of chemical composites and pressure vessel design;
· Experience with polymeric materials (thermosets and thermoplastics);
· Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA); and
· Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), Lab Work Requests (LWR), and laboratory analytical techniques such as FTIR, DSC, SEM, Optical Microscopy.
