Aerotek Laborer in Lincoln, Nebraska
Construction Laborer -- Weekly Pay -- 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $20-$25/hr
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking laborer to join our team. This position involves physical labor including jackhammering, digging holes, and working with highway and roadside safety systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the construction, demolition, setup, and testing of safety features like guardrails, bridge rails, crash cushions, and more.
Responsibilities
Perform construction, demolition, setup, and testing of highway and roadside safety systems.
Engage in earthwork, concrete, and highway safety hardware construction.
Work from plans under the general direction of the research engineer and research manager.
Participate in outdoor testing and construction year-round.
Operate equipment such as bobcat, forklift, dump truck, backhoe, boom, compressors, and generators.
Assist in building barriers and barricades for crash tests.
Use hand tools and power tools to build barricades and guardrails.
Pay attention to detail in all tasks.
Pick up materials and run errands as needed.
Help dig holes for posts and assist with steel fabrication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
6+ months experience working with cars or an interest in cars.
1 year of apprentice work in any of the trades.
2-year degree in any skilled trade or engineering.
1+ year constructing roadside safety structures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
