Job Description
We are seeking diligent and skilled General Labor Workers to assemble custom wall trusses, roof trusses, or floor trusses. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, use hand tools and tape measures, and collaborate with team members. The position involves repetitive tasks, such as assembling the same truss or wall multiple times before moving to a different one, and requires physical activities like bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching at odd angles.
Responsibilities
Assemble custom wall, roof, or floor trusses.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Climb on and off tables during assembly.
Use hand tools and tape measures effectively.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Perform repetitive tasks, assembling the same truss or wall multiple times.
Engage in physical activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching at odd angles.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools.
Experience with assembly, construction, and framing.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Good attendance record, verified by references.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
6+ months of experience with hand tools.
6+ months of experience in a construction, general labor, or physically demanding environment.
Physical nimbleness is preferred for truss side positions.
Less physical nimbleness is suitable for wall side positions.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a warehouse-style building that is non-climate controlled, with an indoor lumber yard. Employees work in teams of 2-5 people per line, with a total of 60 people per shift. The dress code is practical, requiring jeans or shorts (no sweatpants), t-shirts, and steel-toe boots. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, with first shift running from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and the second shift from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. A personal hammer is required, or one must be purchased on-site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
