Bob Evans Farms operates in multiple convenience foods categories within grocery and club. It holds #1 market positions in three major categories. This winning brand has been experiencing strong growth, a trend it's expecting to continue mostly through its leadership in the refrigerated dinner and breakfast categories. Bob Evans Farms products are distributed nationally in retailers throughout North America. Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Production Supervisor, the Production Supervisor will have the responsibility for meeting objectives related to Safety, Quality, Production Key Performance Indicators, employee safety & retention, and enforcement of company policy. This position will also lead and support continuous improvement programs and the development of individuals within their organization. Responsible for all aspects of product manufacturing Develop and/or maintain the programs necessary to ensure all employees are properly trained in order to meet company objectives relating to human safety, product quality and food safety, human relations and professional development. Supports and implements employee relations programs with the objective of improving employee engagement and morale. Ensures and enforces production activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures to include good manufacturing practices (GMPs) environmental, quality control standards and safety compliance. Ensures a safe work environment is maintained. This position will schedule employees and assigns duties to meet production needs. Responds quickly to unexpected interruptions in the production process. Interpret and react as necessary to hourly, daily, weekly monthly reports (RedZone, financial performance, retention, safety dashboards, etc.), Adhere to department and plant budgets. Develops and implements cost-effective manufacturing processes through process improvements or capital ideas. Cooperates and works with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times. Keeps management informed on any operational, safety, quality, or personnel issues. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, and regulations associated with food processing. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Food Sciences, and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 3-5 years of food processing or consumer packaged goods and supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Experience with continuous manufacturing processes Experience working collaboratively with all levels of employees. Experience development and implementing a positive employee relation’s process. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to be on call and work extended or after hours as needed.
