Aerotek Electrician Foreman in Libertyville, Illinois
Description:
Seeking qualified electrician foreman to provide commercial electrical construction services. The foreman will be responsible for running all aspects of the project, from ordering materials to managing the manpower and scheduling inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Installs system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC and NFPA.
Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, using tools, such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
Pulls wiring through conduit.
Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
Connects wiring to control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools.
Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.
Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
May repair faulty equipment or systems. Assesses and adjusts priorities and refocus efforts as needed to meet individual project requirements, workload, and program objectives.
Ensures accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

We are looking for a qualified Commercial/Industrial Electrician Foreman to join our team. In this role, you will perform electrical installations, repairs, and
maintenance in commercial and industrial settings. You will also work as a team with other electricians and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems
Supervise the work of other electricians (2-5 person crews)
Ensure quality and timely job performance
Adhere to safety standards
Order materials
Prepare and call-in inspections
Install electrical systems according to NEC and NFPA guidelines
Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
Measure, cut, bend, and install electrical conduit
Pull wiring through conduit
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
Electrical license (preferred)
Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 150 lbs
