Position Summary:
The Quality Inspection Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of parts and materials within Lexair's production process. This role involves inspecting a significant variety of parts across various industries using an array of precision measurement tools and specialized equipment to ensure compliance with blueprints and quality standards. This position supports the overall effort to maintain exceptional quality standards at Lexair Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
+ + Part Inspection: Inspect a variety of parts using standard measuring and test equipment, as well as specialized gauging.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure all inspections align with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Support Tool Calibration: Support calibration of inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Supplier Quality Evaluation: Support evaluations to ensure suppliers meet specified quality standards.
Data Entry: Input inspection results into the ERP system for accepted and rejected parts.
Process Verification: Verify the quantities of materials and hardware listed on the route sheet throughout the production process.
Documentation: Ensure all inspection results are accurately recorded and documented in the QA system. Review vendor-supplied documentation for completeness and compliance.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality outcomes.
Training & Development: Support develop and delivery of training programs for team members on quality standards, inspection tools, and processes.
Audits: Support internal and external quality audits as requested.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ + Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certified quality technician or technical/ vocational training in machining or manufacturing is preferred.
Experience:
Significant experience inspecting a variety of parts using standard measuring tools and specialized gauging required.
Familiarity with operating a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) required.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and instructions.
Excellent communication skills with ability to provide constructive feedback in a respectful and supportive manner, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Previous CNC Machining experience is strongly preferred.
Proficient computer skills needed.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
+ + Environment: Work in a climate-controlled setting.
Physical Activity: Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at workstation.
Mobility: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, up to 10 hours a day.
Lifting: Ability to lift, carry, and store parcels weighing up to 50 lbs.
Vision: Perform detailed inspections requiring close vision, depth perception, and color recognition.
