The conditions of work may involve regular exposure to loud noises, intermittent exposure to blood borne/airborne pathogens and combative/violent people, and occasional exposure to cuts and punctures.ShiftMonday through Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pmJob SummaryThe Preop Anesthesia Clinic is seeking a Patient Relations Assistant to be responsible for scheduling appointments in a high volume clinic area. Duties will include but not limited to: respectfully acknowledging and greeting patients, some patient registration, insurance verification and pre-certifications as needed. Additionally, this position will be responsible for coordinating arrival times with patients and scheduling appointments. Will establish coordination of benefits, collect insurance co-pays and fees for services not covered by insurance, schedule return appointments according to scheduling protocol and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up with patients on all appointment requests. Must be able to work in fast paced office and maintain medical confidentiality.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesCustomer service skills, time management, collaboration, attention to detail and organizational skills, MS Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience3.5 years of experience required.
