Job SummaryThe Division of Infectious Diseases is searching for an Administrative Services Assistant to support the Infectious Diseases Fellowship programs.


The Administrative Services Assistant will assist the ID Fellowship Program Director to meet the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements for post-graduate medical Infectious Diseases fellowship training programs.The Administrative Services Assistant is a member of the administrative support team within the ID Division and will coordinate daily activities for the fellows and the Program Director.


These activities include managing schedules for fellows and faculty, timely distribution/collection of evaluations, coordinating fellow noon conferences, monitoring national testing, annual recruitment, orientation and graduation of fellows, and completing reports to the UK GME office and the ACGME.


The Administrative Services Assistant will also assist with general scheduling of rotations for a non-accredited residency program for Vulnerable Patient Populations and will work closely with the AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) staff within the ID Division.

Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesGood typing and computer skills, along with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment. Strong data management, and customer service skills are also essential. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of UME/GME preferred.
