JAFRA Cosmetics International Forklift Operator in lewisville, Texas
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under direct supervision of the Distribution Manager, performs a variety of Warehouse functions and tasks to ensure the accurate and timely processing of incoming receipts, inventory movements, and outgoing shipments in accordance with established service criteria and Company policies. This position entails a commitment of 20 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Ensures the accurate and timely handling of incoming receipts, put-aways, inventory moves, in-house material requests, outgoing shipments, and sample requests
▪ Palletizes, wraps, and loads materials in accordance with established standards
▪ Assists in loading and unloading palletized and non-palletized goods as directed
▪ Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, wrappers, and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner
▪ Completes all required paperwork accurately and turns it in on a timely basis in accordance with Company and departmental policies and procedures
▪ Ensures that all inventory and documentation control procedures are followed
▪ Keeps the warehouse clean and orderly at all times
▪ Assists with physical inventories as directed
▪ Supports and complies with all Company policies, procedures, and standards
▪ Keeps supervisor and manager informed of all matters affecting the department or Company
▪ Housekeeping duties such as sweeping and general clean-up
▪ Performs other duties as directed and the duties of the Material Handler as necessary All other duties as assigned
WORK CONDITIONS:
▪ Must be able to work quickly in a somewhat narrow and populated space.
▪ Must be able to stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time, and lift up to 30 lbs.
▪ Hours of Operation can vary from as early as 6am to as late as 7pm, with no more than 12 hours worked in a day. Proper meal and rest periods will be given accordingly.
▪ Some overtime may be required with minimal notice on days with heavy order volume. One Saturday near the end of the month may be required depending upon order volume. ▪ Warehouse is climate controlled.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent desirable
Experience: Minimum of 6 months as a forklift driver in a warehouse setting
Skills: Ability to lift repetitively loads of at least 50 lbs. Ability to work independently within established parameters. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in English both verbal and written. Must successfully pass forklift certification test on a yearly basis. Ability to effectively and safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Good basic mathematical skills.
