Summary
- Performs analysis on wastewater for parameters required on the NPDES permit and for operational monitoring of the wastewater systems.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform technical laboratory analysis and procedures as required by the NPDES permit, including all required proficiency testing and quality control as required by the laboratory’s Certification and Quality Manual.
Calculate analytical data and work with computer to maintain monthly reports.
Maintain QC standards to comply with all state certification standards.
Maintain necessary laboratory supplies.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED, with strong reading, writing, math and analytical skills required.
Computers skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience Preferred
- One-year preferred experience. A laboratory or science background is recommended for this position but not required.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Work environment includes, but is not limited to, a normal office and lab environment.
Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting and grasping vary in repetition.
Exposure to all chemical found in a wastewater treatment facility.
Must wear and/or use equipment as required by the job.
