Central Maine Medical Center RN - CVICU/Step Down Unit - Per Diem in Lewiston, Maine

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Provides direct an indirect patient care in the critical care setting.

  • Communicates with physicians about changes in patient condition including: hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response treatment.

  • Able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

  • Able to provide an exceptional patient experience for both the patient and their family.

  • Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

  • Proficient interpreting an EKG and has basic computer knowledge.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Required- Current nurse licensure in the State of Maine, or eligible to obtain Maine RN license.

  • Required- Current ACLS and BLS certification.

  • Required- Successful completion of critical care course, basic arrhythmia certification and 12 lead interpretation class.

  • Preferred- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

  • Preferred- Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
