LC State\'s Physical Plant is seeking applications for seasonal, irregular help (part-time) to assist the grounds crew with landscape care and maintenance.
Salary range:\$13.83 - \$16.50 per hour
Responsibilities:Work duties will include operating power equipment (lawn mowers, edgers, leaf blowers, string trimmers), assisting with setting up campus special events (graduation, Art Under the Elms, NAIA World Series), and assisting other grounds crew workers perform their assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least six months of experience in general grounds maintenance work.
- Experience with ground equipment operation (snow blowers, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, string trimmers, pruners, dollies, and carts).
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, coordinate and resolve landscape issues.
- Assists other landscape and crafts staff in performing their duties.
- Duties may include supporting campus events (setting up bleachers, portable flooring, tables, and chairs).
- Snow removal as needed (shovels, snow blowers).
- May work in all weather conditions.
