Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.

What you'll be doing as a Shipping And Receiving Clerk:

• Oversee and evaluate all activities at the shipping dock to ensure safe and efficient loading of freight

• Dispatch incoming orders and distribute them to the warehouse team

• Verify the accuracy of orders picked by the warehouse team

• Enter data such as addresses, quantities, and weights to complete shipment paperwork

• Ensure the correct shipping method is used for customer orders

• Maintain a database of shipment data to keep customer orders updated and provide billing documents to customer service and finance

• Notify the supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions

• Prepare bills of lading for shipments

• Transport materials on the shipping dock using a hand truck or other vehicle as needed

• Load trucks or railroad cars using a forklift

• Ensure product handling and delivery meet customer expectations

• Keep records of shipments and file packing slips according to company practices

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• General labor duties as assigned by customer.

• Helping move rail cars, shovel, swepping, moping, debris clean up

• Lifting up to 50lb-75lbs.

Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Basic understanding of truck freight rates

• Strong knowledge of safety policies and best practices

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
