Permobil Welder in Lebanon, Tennessee

Welder

The Welder is responsible to assure the weld surfaces are properly prepared, perform loading and unloading of components into the weld fixture, monitor the weld process parameters, monitor the use of weld consumables, daily PM & safety checks, light maintenance of the weld equipment, continuous monitoring of weld quality basic troubleshooting of the weld process and normal housekeeping of the work area.

Our Operations department in Lebanon, TN is now looking for a Welder.

Key Tasks

  • Understand and follow all safety requirements.

  • Understand and follow all Quality System requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and awareness of surroundings.

  • Ability to properly load & unload complex welding fixtures.

  • Understanding of how to identify weld defects & communicate problems to supervisors and engineers.

  • Ability to understand and complete routine machine checks and Operator PM tasks.

  • Work as a team and maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization.

  • Support all quality, safety, and environmental programs.

  • Safely and proficiently operate tools and equipment needed to fabricate, weld, and assemble parts.

  • Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.

  • Work overtime as assigned.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time.

    Your Background

  • High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.

  • Enrolled or completion of prior weld certification course (preferred).

  • 0-3 years of experience

  • Pass initial weld assessment.

  • Team player.

  • Reliable.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Self-starting ability.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time
