Overview

This position is located in theSystem Staffing Office. Employees in this department agree to go to two or more Clinic locations or departments in the Dartmouth Health System.

LPN - FlexChoice Per Diem

The FlexChoice per diem program recruits and on-boards experienced, professional, per diem RNs, LPNs, MAs, and LNAs, and allows them the flexibility to design their own schedule and choose from a variety of diverse and exciting practice locations across the D-H system. These locations include DHMC in Lebanon, our affiliate hospitals - Cheshire Medical Center, New London Hospital, Mount Ascutney Hospital and Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, and their ambulatory areas

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to facilitate continuing health care to individuals, families, and community.

• Identifies common and recurring nursing needs of the patient.

• Recognizes the need for and performs routine office procedures and testing.

• Assists patients to achieve basic health care goals.

• Identifies patient education needs, providing instruction or referring appropriately.

• Assists staff in institutional quality improvement measures and office standards of practice.

• Provides telephone advice to patients per physician specific protocols; refers patients appropriately.

• Participates in staff meetings.

• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of NH required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
