Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with energy, a willingness to learn & develop, who possesses a strong attention to detail to join our research logistics group.

Our Integrated Strategy and Operations team partners with the division’s leadership to establish short & long range goals for Discovery and Development Sciences and to track progress to these goals; to establish, maintain & expand strategic relationships and partnerships including negotiation drafting & archiving of scientific contracts; to set laboratory design & occupancy standards; to oversee domestic & international drug candidate shipping logistics; to coordinate the division’s domestic & international contingent labor workforce.

This position will report to the Lead for Research Logistics Management, a team overseeing over 2000 shipments a year – small molecules/reagents/tissue samples. Supporting Research & Early Development collaborations globally.

Key responsibilities:

This role will be focused on multiple aspects of ensuring compliance with Import/Export regulations.

  • Preparing import compliance information for US Customs

  • Record keeping (Entry Checklist, Site Import Logs, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with prototype provision and similar US Customs regulations

  • Support and backup Export activities as needed

In addition, this role may support Selected Special projects – supporting any area in scope of IS&O team with potential for significant impact to the division.

Education and Experience:

  • High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

  • Technical positions may require a certificate

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • The successful candidate will have good communication skills and a naturally collaborative style.

  • Supply Chain / Customs Compliance / Customer Service in a multinational company working in an Import/Export role is a plus but not required

  • An understanding of regulatory requirements is beneficial

  • A team player who works effectively within a multidisciplinary organization and across sites

  • Exhibits strong problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Keen attention to detail is a must

  • Proficient in MS Office and PDF software

  • Effective in virtual environment i.e., MS Teams
