CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER - Private Equity Backed Medical Device Company

An established and rapidly growing medical device company is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial operations and drive business performance. Backed by a leading private equity firm, the company is entering a new phase of expansion—requiring a CFO with proven experience in scaling organizations, executing M& A, and optimizing capital structure. This is a high-impact leadership role offering broad responsibility, close collaboration with executive leadership and investors, and significant influence over the company’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Oversee accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance; ensure GAAP adherence and audit readiness.

  • Support and lead M& A activities including due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, and integration.

  • Manage the company’s capital structure, optimize debt/equity strategy, and maintain financial flexibility.

  • Develop and execute a tax strategy, leveraging NOLs and ensuring full compliance across jurisdictions.

  • Partner directly with the CEO, President, and Board, offering clear, data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions.

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

  • 15+ years of finance leadership, including CFO experience in a private equity-backed company.

  • Background in medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated sectors preferred.

  • Proven success in M& A execution, capital management, and strategic financial planning.

  • Advanced degree or certifications preferred (e.g., CPA, MBA, CFA); Big 4 experience a plus.

  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable operating in mid-sized, high-growth environments (75–100 employees).
