UnitedHealth Group Patient Care Coordinator in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Front Office Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) works on the front lines of care delivery and directly improves patient experience. The PCC delivers outstanding customer service to patients and assists them throughout the check-in process, guiding them through demographic capture, health insurance eligibility, and cost share reconciliation. The PCC works collaboratively with all members of the care team to ensure patients receive the appropriate care at the right time and place. Under direction of the Clinic Operations Supervisor, the PCC works independently, acts as a resource to peers, and escalates only the most complex issues.

Clinic Hours: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Schedule : 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, days will vary per business needs, and weekends are required in schedule. On call once or twice per week depending on business needs.

Location : 888 S RANCHO DR, First Floor, Las Vegas, NV 89106

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients for urgent care and imaging appointments

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to complaints and offering service recovery as needed

  • Ensure accurate demographic entry, primary care physician (PCP) capture, and insurance eligibility

  • Collect copays, handle cash, enter charges, and maintain Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance

  • Handle and route incoming calls and messages. Schedule appointments as necessary

  • Manage reception area and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

  • Support team and department by floating to different sites, participating in on-call program

  • Provides guidance to other front office, leading without authority

  • Deposit reconciliation and confirming EKGs

  • Assists in new employee onboarding and training

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • 2+ years of experience in a patient check-in/healthcare setting

  • 1+ years of electronic medical record experience

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis software

  • 1+ years of cash handling/deposits

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)

  • 1+ years of customer service experience

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.54 to $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
