JOB DESCRIPTION The Patient Care Coordinator works in a call center environment promptly answer call using positive, clear communication to provide patient-focused service and a positive impression of the organization. Assist callers with appointment scheduling, obtain patients demographic, insurance and financial information. Process incoming referrals, verifying benefits, eligibility and authorization for both new and established patients. Coordinate, respond to patient and referring providers concern timely and ensure patient satisfaction. Execute outbound calls or electronic task to assist with providing outpatient radiology related services.

A Day in the Life as a Patient Care Coordinator:You will experience busy days in a call center environment with the expectation of processing (but not limited to) 45 calls per day. You will assist callers with appointment scheduling, obtaining patient information/insurance/financial information, process incoming referrals, verifying benefits/eligibility/authorization for both new and established patients. You will coordinate and respond to patients/referring providers in a timely manner and ensure patient satisfaction. Our best Patient Care Coordinators have the opportunity to transition into other departments within our Call Center. You can expect to be scheduled Mondays-Fridays with shifts starting as early as 8am and ending as late as 6:30pm (8 hour shifts).No weekends!

MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Have previous experience as a medical receptionist/front desk or related experience
  • Have knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 and CPT coding and procedures
  • Be able to type at least 40 wpm
  • Be able to multitask consistently and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Employer will conduct a drug and background check.
