Responsibilities

Western Region CBO

The Western Region Consolidated Business Office provides business office services including billing, collections, cash posting, pre-access management, variance and customer service to our affiliated UHS facilities. We are seeking dynamic and talented individuals to join our team.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement competency based education programs as necessary for each functional area including train-the-trainer and end-user related programs.

  • Integrate and deliver management training programs to leadership team.

  • Work closely with the Director, Assistant Director, Human Resources Manager and CBO Managers to improve education and to assure training of new end-user is completed timely and appropriately.

  • Develop and implement communication activities in the CBO.

  • Remains compliant with all corporate driven education initiatives.

  • Strategize and coordinate with department heads and managers to integrate new standards, models and organizational improvements.

  • Resolves issues associated with education between other internal departments.

  • Completes work with little to no supervision.

  • Develop and conduct New Hire Orientation. Assures that all new staff members are adequately trained before they are assigned to respective department. Will be responsible for submitting new hire access requests.

  • Develops a continuing education program on new trends in Patient Accounting or new processes.

  • Review payer websites for provider news that needs to be communicated to the staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Educational Experience:

    Associate degree in related field required.

    3-5 Years of related work experience may be substituted for an Associate degree.

    Technical Skills

    Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher, Abode)

    Proficiency in Educational presentations.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills applicable to the audience.

    Experience:

    Minimum of 2-3 years of hospital business office, healthcare management and/or training experience is required.

    The ability to maintain and implement competency-based education problems for the WCBO as whole

    Must be able to train virtually and in-person.

    Other:

    Customer focused both internally and externally, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

    The capability to diligently research and investigate as applicable to business office needs (Payer Websites)
