We require a Cyber Engineer Team Lead based in Las Vegas, NV with a desire to actively defend the mission systems critical to our national defense. We will provide holistic managed cybersecurity services, support the implementation of strategic operational capabilities, identify and assess areas for innovation on Day 1, and help the client sunset legacy technologies and processes.

As a Cyber Engineer Team Lead the candidate will work with other engineers to apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

Work you'll do

  • Provide security and network engineering expertise and skilled individuals in areas of networking technologies, security monitoring solutions, and system performance engineering.

  • Develop, maintain, and update bi-annually the client Security Architecture Framework and related organizational process asset to coordinate and integrate the IT and Cybersecurity activities throughout the complex.

  • Conduct a minimum of four yearly Business-Outcome focused Security Architecture investigations and present findings, options, and proposed roadmaps for the people, process, and technology changes required to enable the targeted business outcome.

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain security baselines within the client environment.

  • Drive adherence to all applicable compliance requirements by overseeing continuous monitoring activities and incident response.

  • Coordinate the implementation of approved security architecture/policies/procedures and conduct project security reviews.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.

  • Travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

  • Must be able to work on-site full time in Las Vegas, NV.

  • 7 years' experience in cybersecurity technologies, practices, and principles, such as Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Firewalls, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), Log Analysis, and Incident Response.

  • 2 years of experience leading technical teams.

  • At least one of the following certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience

  • Prior experience in Client Business Operations, Security Standards & Policies, Integration of Cyber Solutions, Cyber Concepts & Org. Impacts, Information Systems & Network Security, Information Technology Architecture, Client Business Processes & Ops, Client Technical Environment and Solutions.

  • Knowledgeable with NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA requirements.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 to $188,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
