Seasonal Position without Benefits Performs lifesaving skills, provides instructional swimming lessons to children and adults, performs routine maintenance on pool and pool facilities. Monitors all activities within the pool facility. Maintains flexible schedule for rotation to various pool sites.

: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.* - Physically able to perform lifesaving skills, pool maintenance, recordkeeping, sanitation, and instruction. - Must be able to perform swimming pool duties as required such as: 1. Maintaining swimming pool facilities 2. Sanitation daily 3. Vacuuming 4. Filtration 5. Maintaining pool grounds indoor/outdoors 6. Other duties specified by the Aquatic Supervisor - Must be able to communicate and work well with others. - Must be responsible, reliable, and prompt. - Must be able to participate and attend workshops. - Must establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and the general public. - Assists in maintaining good communication between staff, visitors, and other business contacts. - Must follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications. - Performs other duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Effort Requirements Position will have the following exposures - Office or similar indoor environment, relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. - Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work. - Frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Majority of work performed outside or with exposure to risk. - Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
