Summary THIS IS AN ARMY NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a T32 LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (MI-JFHQ-G4), Position Description Number D1177000 and is part of the MI JFHQ Army, Michigan Army National Guard. Responsibilities THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP This position is located in a Battalion (Bn) or Squadron (Sqdrn) size headquarters of the Army National Guard (ARNG). The purpose of this position is to function as the logistics manager of the organization responsible for accomplishment and oversight of logistics plans, activities, and actions. 1. Develops, implements and evaluates the logistic policies for the organization. Is the primary advisor for the command in the area of logistics operations. Oversees and reviews unit level feeder reports. Analyzes and/or prepares the logistics and equipment readiness areas of the organizational readiness report. Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations relative to proposed MTOE and/or force structure changes to determine the impact on equipment authorizations. 2. Ensures compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other-directed command inspection programs. Assists in the preparation for and executes additional command level inspections in the area of logistics and maintenance. Oversees the duties of the Property Book Officer (PBO). 3. Provides guidance and funds management for all decentralized logistic funds. These may include secondary stock funds, office supply accounts, transportation funding, and various classes of supply. May serve as the approving official for government purchase card expenditures. 4. May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. Provides logistical support for community activities such as parades, celebrations, military funerals, etc. Coordinates with civic officials, club officers and school officials for such things as recruiting activities, communities support projects, natural disaster or civil disturbance planning, use of facilities for training for such things as recruiting for such things as recruiting and security of those facilities. 5. Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. Plans, organizes and assigns work to employees engaged in logistical work assigned at the command level. Revises assignments or details employees to other duties as necessary to meet changing work situations, deadlines, or priorities. Military Grades: E1 - CW3 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Months Required: 24 Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience, education, or training involving knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support. Experience integrating actions of support activities to meet program goals. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks and comply with regulations, laws, or practices. Education No substitution of education allowed for this position.
