The Nelnet Campus Commerce (NCC) Program Manager will act as the liaison between the NBS Program Management Office and NCC to implement Creatio. This implementation will include multiple workstreams (e.g. Marketing, Sales and Service) to deliver a modernized and optimized method of operations. This role will work directly with NCC leadership and associates and will report to the NCC Managing Director and is critical to the success of NCC and the overall project.

The Program Manager II is responsible for independently managing a portfolio of projects that are typically multi-departmental in nature and may be strategic in scope, including programs. This position consults with internal and external partners to clarify and define project requirements. The Program Manager focuses on tracking progress while navigating ambiguity in addition to managing information flow, conflicts, and problems to deliver successful project/program outcomes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the delivery of complex projects (Creatio) with multiple workstreams through the project lifecycle, from initiation through deployment.

  • Drives cross-functional teams in the delivery of complex programs/projects

  • Support the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project plans using project management tools, such as Smartsheet, and manage internal project teams to the project plan.

  • Enforce project governance and lead efforts to drive project teams to deliver against user stories and requirements.

  • Drive accountability and reporting to drive decision making, identify risks and ensure project success.

  • Proactively identify project risks and issues and quickly raise them to project leadership to manage risk mitigation.

  • Manage internal and external resources as determined by and in alignment with the project’s scope, including the identification of additional resources as needed.

  • Manage external clients including, at minimum, the facilitation of a weekly status meeting reporting out on project progress.

  • Ensure effective project onboarding, documentation, and training are available as new team members join projects.

  • Manage the project control processes, including task management, RAID, scope/change control and quality control.

  • Prepares and delivers regular, audience-specific communications/reports/dashboards to ensure that program sponsors, key stakeholders, advisors and leadership are adequately apprised of program and project statuses, successes, risks and issues.

  • Facilitate and advise on best practices in change management in conjunction with the Project Management Office, project management, testing and training, as the scope of the project dictates, which may include development of additional collateral such as templates, presentations, and trainings.

  • Proposes changes to project methodologies, frameworks, and promotes best practices for continuous process improvement.

  • Accountable for all applicable PMO related processes and methodologies and their proper and consistent execution on all projects

Salary for this role is: $120,000

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Project/Program Management working on large, complex, cross-functional enterprise-wide software deployments utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills is critical.

  • Skilled in the use of project management tools for project planning and work management. Smartsheet experience is preferred.

  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced and high-performing environment.

  • Experience managing and building relationships with key stakeholders is critical.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision is highly desired.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
