Job Description
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for wiring large, complex electrical panels according to schematics, and ensuring the installation and calibration of various components. You will travel to customer locations to install and start up blow molding machinery, referencing prints to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Wire large complex electrical panels according to schematics.
Work fluently with 480V 3-phase wiring and drive motors.
Handle 24VDC, 120V/240V wiring systems knowledgeably.
Familiarize with Ladder Logic and Siemens PLC’s.
Install electrical panels in cabinets and mount them to machinery.
Cross wire electrical panels and cabinets.
Mount and wire sensors, photo eyes, proximity switches, and install/calibrate linear transducers.
Apply neat and consistent wiring techniques.
Complete electrical checklist of operations.
Assemble and install sub-assemblies for large complex machinery according to mechanical prints.
Teardown and load machines in container trucks.
Travel to customer locations for installation and startup of blow molding machinery.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems by referencing prints.
Essential Skills
5+ years of electrical/controls experience (troubleshooting 480V/3-Phase).
Experience with industrial equipment/machinery is strongly preferred.
5+ years of Blueprint Reading experience.
Openness to traveling 50% of the time to customer sites (regional and across the nation).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
