Job Description
The Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a motivated individual who is organized, creative, and interested in working in a fast-paced environment. This position will serve as a Student Assistant performing a full range of support assignments, while learning the methods of work, serving the Michigan Civil Service Commission/Disability Management Office.
Ideal candidates will have:Exceptional customer service skills.
Good listening skills and professionalism.
Ability to prioritize tasks and has attention to detail.
Ability to work well both independently and within a team.

Required Education and Experience
This position generally requires current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in thejob specifications of the Human Resources Student Assistant class. Candidates must provide proof of enrollment in at least six credit hours each term.
Alternate Education and Experience
Student Assistantscannotexceed 129 working hours in a calendar month and must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per term, providing proof of enrollment at the start of each term. Student Assistant appointments end the month in which the student graduates or is no longer enrolled in school. A Student Assistant position cannot exceed six years unless otherwise approved by Human Resources.
