Intermountain Health Data Analyst Technician in Lansing, Michigan

Job Description:

Analyzes data from various sources and reports on insights derived from those sources.

  • Builds descriptive and predictive data models to be used for operational planning.

  • Mines data from singular or multiple large, small, and complex data sources.

  • Builds technical tools to cultivate data sets and present analysis via: Power BI, Excel, other MS-Tools, Epic, etc. for end users.

  • Interfaces with internal/external customers to discern analytic requests. Identifying resource constraints, and informing data limitations, if applicable.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two (2) years in health care analytics is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or data science, preferred. (will be verified)

  • Experience in any of these areas: Healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing/coding, VBC, medical claims, SQL, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Interact with others requiring the employee to verbally communicate information.

  • Operate computers and other IT equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

  • See and read computer monitors and documents.

  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$34.48 - $61.27
