Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all dimensions and magnetic values meet customer drawings and specifications. Your expertise in calibration software, gauges, and precision measurement equipment will be vital in maintaining the accuracy and quality of our products. Additionally, your strong record-keeping skills will ensure that all data is accurately documented and easily accessible. You will work closely with our production and quality teams to verify measurements, set up and operate equipment, and maintain our high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Adhere to required safety precautions and wear required PPE.
Identify and implement safety precautions for new equipment and processes.
Optimize safety and minimize risk in the work environment.
Access Paradigm to review and/or print work instructions (WI) and process control standards (PCS).
Recommend revisions and updates to the WI and PCS to improve processes.
Verify that the drawing part number matches the manufacturing router.
Review customer drawings to obtain specified dimensions, features, tolerances, and other requirements, recording information as needed.
Select and calibrate proper measuring equipment, including gauge blocks and pins.
Select the appropriate program for running Smartscope, Magnetic Inspection Robot, LVFS, and Keyence.
Clean and organize equipment and work area to ensure accuracy.
Maintain the accuracy of all measuring equipment and request reorder of consumables as needed.
Use a variety of tools including micrometers, indicators, comparators, microscopes, magnetizers, ovens, gauss meters, and more to ensure quality standards.
Operate specialized equipment such as the Smartscope, Magnetic Inspection Robot, LVFS, Keyence, Rotor Plotter, and Segment Plotter.
Record data into the ERP computer system, manufacturing router, logs, databases, and control charts as required by work instructions.
Understand and adhere to the Calibration Program.
Follow the Escalation Policy.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in quality inspection or a related field is preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with calibration software, gauges, and precision measurement equipment.
Excellent record-keeping skills to ensure accurate data documentation.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with tools such as micrometers, indicators, comparators, microscopes, magnetizers, ovens, gauss meters.
Familiarity with specialized equipment including Smartscope, Magnetic Inspection Robot, LVFS, Keyence, Rotor Plotter, and Segment Plotter.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
