Job Title: Welder
Job Description
The Welder I performs entry-level work under close supervision. Uses Arc welder and electrode rods to perform tack and bead welds and oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting metals. Operates hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metals together, and remove slag. Selects proper electrodes and holders and regulates current and time. Welding certification preferred and 4-5 years of experience.
Responsibilities
Use modification and welding (minimum AWS 3G/4G level) skills to rework cab and other components.
Perform welding (AWS 3G/4G) according to blueprints.
Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete welding in assigned areas.
Fabricate components from raw stock, as required, and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, etc.
Understand, and be able to articulate, the production flow of an assigned product line or area.
Self-check work and inspect prior processes.
Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required.
Meet production goals.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Initiate process improvements.
Support 5S in the work area.
Lead/perform lean events.
Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etc.) to resolve issues.
Essential Skills
4-5 years of related experience.
Basic tools (e.g. hand tools) safety and effectiveness.
Ability to meet job expectations within 90 days or be on track to.
Excellent attendance.
Positive attitude.
Strong and consistent attention to detail.
Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task.
Team-oriented.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to pass required welding certification tests in AWS material sections: D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, and D9.1 (time will be given to practice before taking certifications).
Understanding of AWS welding symbols.
Ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.
Proficiency in either MIG or TIG welding steel, stainless, and aluminum.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience and/or certifications preferred.
Ability to learn and rotate within various weld areas.
Willingness to wear PPE respirators for extended periods.
Commitment to improving self/area/company, including pursuing additional training if needed.
Working knowledge of relevant systems (example: AS/400).
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints including weld specifications at a high level.
Willingness to work overtime on short notice.

We are willing to train more entry-level welders and provide a $125 steel toe shoe allowance once hired on.
Work Environment
Clean and well-lit shop. Organized and stations are cleaned up every day 15 minutes before the shift is over. Not climate controlled.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.
401k: 100% match of first 3%, and 50% match for the next 2%
4 Tiers: Employee only, Employee and Spouse, Employee and Children, Family. 3 plan options: PPO, HDHP Gold, HDHP Silver
Dental and Vision Plans
Basic life insurance coverage of $30,000
PTO: 60 hours in first 2 years, then 100 hours year 2-5, 140 hours year 5-10, 180 hours at 10 years and after
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Lancaster,PA.
