Eurofins Financial Reporting Manager - Eurofins Environment Testing in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for performing the financial consolidation for US Environment Testing to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is responsible for managing dimension hierarchies in Oracle ePBCS (Hyperion Planning tool). Ensures alignment between accounting systems, group financial reporting systems, and ePBCS, with a strong focus on consistency across cost centers, operational units, and legal entities. Plays a critical part in the month-end close process by ensuring daily data loads that provide timely and accurate financial information. Partners with the M&A team to provide financial modeling, as requested, to support the integration of new Mergers & Acquisitions. Responsibilities also include gathering and analyzing data through queries, ad-hoc reports, and other tools to support reporting needs across financial performance, headcount/FTE, and sales metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides business units with financial reporting, KPIs and metrics, including the daily/weekly receipts tracking.

  • Manages the budgeting & forecasting process. Includes maintaining budget/forecast models and ensuring all data is loaded properly into financial systems.

  • Report on financial performance for regular leadership reviews

  • Extract data from accounting systems to load into Oracle ePBCS. Ensure there is accurate alignment between accounting systems, group financial reporting systems and ePBCS. Cost centers, operational units and legal entities must all be aligned.

  • Use of queries, ad-hoc reports and other data gathering techniques to collect data needed for several types of reporting. Includes financial, headcount/FTE, sales and other sources

  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

  • Prepares M&A financial projections and supports integration of newly acquired businesses 

  • Provide support for several cost centers within the division

  • Perform tasks as delegated by the Financial Reporting Director.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education: BS/BA in Accounting or related Field. CPA, CMA or Masters of Business or Accounting/Finance preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting with at least one of those years in Financial Planning & Analysis.

  • Authorization to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship 

Ideal Candidates will have: 

  • Several years of experience with Oracle ePBCS or Hyperion or relevant system, with knowledge of all aspects of the tool (set-up of dimensions, groupings/rollups, manage security, manage data loads and connections to data sources)      

  • Knowledge of TM1/Cognos is preferable

  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions

  • Good business acumen

  • GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytical skills

  • Time management skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Analyze and report financial data

  • Trend analysis

  • Ability to work independently
