Lame Deer School District High School Social Studies Teacher in LAME DEER, Montana
Plan and develop a course of study Social Studies for High School students following curriculum guidelines of district and state requirements. Develop and present specific lesson plans, using a variety of means, including lectures, projects, group discussions, exhibits, field trips, audio visual and library resources, computers, and the Internet. Prepare assignments and tests for in-school preparation and homework and monitor, assist, correct, and grade student performances. Conduct standardized tests in accordance with District policies and law. Maintain order in the classroom and administer discipline when necessary to achieve proper behavior. Prescribe extra assignments, detention, or loss of playground privileges in cases of student misconduct. Keep record of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation, and report on all aspects of student development for school records and parents, and conduct parent-teacher conferences regularly and as-needed. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education or Equivalent is required. Valid Montana 5-12 Certification with Social Studies Endorsement is required.
