SAH 7th Floor Med/Surg:

The 7th Floor Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital is a medical surgical unit where we primarily treat septic patients. Our department has 36 beds, and we see a range of surgical patients, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis and treat many chronic conditions such as COPD and CHF. We have a great culture focused on teamwork and positivity. Our nurse communication scores have been some of the highest in the hospital. We are an innovative unit, often where hospital-wide projects being.

We are looking for dynamic, hard-working people, who are looking for a strong medical surgical floor. We look for those who have a vested interest in our department’s mission. Candidates must have a positive attitude, open communication skills, be hard-working, dedicated, and accountable.

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator. In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will:

• Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line.

• Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards.

• Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties.

• Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.

• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.

• Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• 1-year clinical RN Experience

• Associates Degree in Nursing required

• BSN, preferred

• RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required

• Nursing Specialty Certification related to the specialty is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

The schedule for this position will be three 12 hour shifts per week, 1800-0630
