Kelly Services has multiple openings for Medical assembly located in Lake Zurich, IL These positions are temporary-to-hire with overtime.

Pay: $15.00/HR - $18.00/hr

1st Shift is Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:00 pm

POSITION SUMMARY

The assembler position performs direct manufacturing activities in the production department in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer-s requirements for quality, quantity and timeliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General

o Responsible to follow Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix

o Maintain good working relationships with other co-workers, act as example when conflicts occur

o Work with little supervision and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner

o Maintain confidential information, in accordance with Company policy

o Adherence to safety requirements

  • Assembly Responsibilities

o Follow released documents to produce product, notify supervisor if conflict is observed

o Produce components, sub assemblies or final assemblies with minimal supervision

o Follow in-line checks to verify work performed, utilize hand tools as required, such as calipers and rulers

o Perform in-line product testing on sub assembly and finished products

o Awareness of quality requirements; identify defects and communicate defects to supervisor and/or engineer for the product through use of the reject log or direct communication

o Operate variety of simple and complex equipment such as adhesive dispenser, UV cure, vertical shrinker, braider, tipping machines and molding equipment

o Keep track of materials, tools and procedures as the device is manufactured

  • Documentation and Line Clearance

o Prepare station and perform line clearance, including all items identified in the line clearance procedure; ensure daily line clearance is completed for each operation performed

o Confirm training is current before starting work and that procedure is understood, notify supervisor if conflict occurs

o Perform daily, weekly and monthly CER cleaning for individual stations

o Completely and accurately fill in LHRs or forms in support of manufacturing

  • Provide job training support to coworkers, as directed

  • Inform lead or supervisor of issues or unanticipated non-conformance (e.g. calibration out of date, expired material, high scrap rate); stop line as necessary

  • Advise supervisor in the event of needed tool or equipment repairs

  • Assists in other work-related areas as required

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be flexible to work overtime

Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience, medical device experience preferred
