Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Lake Park, Florida

Description

Our client is searching for a Full Charge Construction Bookkeeper in North Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will be tasked with managing financial records and transactions, providing construction project support, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role is critical for maintaining financial accuracy and optimizing cost efficiency within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation, submission, and tracking of AIA billing documents for multiple construction projects.

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by entering financial transactions into accounting software, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to track project costs, process subcontractor invoices, and assist with cost allocation to specific projects.

• Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support management decision-making.

• Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.

• Monitor and process vendor invoices and payments, as well as follow up on overdue accounts receivable.

• Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring documents are appropriately filed and easily accessible for audit purposes.

• Keep abreast of relevant industry regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.

• Work closely with the finance team, project managers, and other departments to support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experienced in AIA Billing and use of ComputerEase software

• Skilled in Bank Reconciliations and Credit Card Reconciliation

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements and Cash Flow Statements

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
