INITIAL APPLICATION REVIEW WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER TWO (2) WEEKS OF OPEN.\ INTERESTED CANDIDATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.\ ADDITIONAL APPLICATION REVIEW WILL ONLY BE CONDUCTED IF NECESSARY.\ \$1.00/hr stipend upon obtaining Arizona Commercial Driver License Class B with tanker\ endorsement.\ Water Distribution / Treatment / Production Functions\ Performs intermediate skilled work in construction, repair and maintenance of water distribution,\ treatment, and production infrastructure and equipment; maintains water production and\ treatment equipment, instrumentation, chemical systems, operates machinery and equipment,\ performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and new installation to the water system, and related\ work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the assigned\ supervisor.\ The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, trustworthy, and is reliable. This person will\ have strong mechanical aptitude and will be able to complete their work in a safe and\ timely manner. They will be able to work with limited supervision and have the integrity to\ do their job properly. The ideal candidate must be flexible, possess good communication\ skills, and be able to work with others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\ High School Diploma or GED and considerable experience in water system maintenance\ and operation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\ SPECIAL NOTE:\ Candidate must possess Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade II Water\ Distribution or Grade II Water Treatment Certification or equal grade certification from another\ state at the time of hire. ADEQ certification must be obtained through reciprocity within six (6)\ months of hire. Incumbent works outdoors and is exposed to extreme temperatures. May require\ the use of a respirator. May be subject to call back. Primary assignment will be in water\ distribution.\ SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:\ Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona Commercial Driver License Class B with\ tanker endorsement within six (6) months of employment. \$1.00/hr stipend upon obtaining\ Arizona Commercial Driver License Class B with tanker endorsement.\ National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) training based on assignment.\ Must meet and maintain all training and education requirements for position.\ Position may also require one (1) or more of the following certifications depending on\ assignment:\ Confined Space/Trenching and Shoring Certification.\ Closed Circuit Television Certification.\ Forklift Certification.\ Flaggers Certification.\ Hazardous Materials Certification.\ NCCO Crane Operator Certification.\ Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) approved Arc Flash NFPA 70E\ Compliance Training.

The succeeding\ examination processes may be required: training and experience, testing, panel interview,\ employment eligibility verification (EEV) requirements, personnel evaluation profile (PEP),\ polygraph test, background investigation and alcohol/drug screening test. Lake Havasu City\ complies with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988 and Department of Transportation Drug\ Testing Program. Drug and alcohol testing is conducted under the authority of City policy and the\ Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991. Appointment subject to successful\ background investigation and City paid post-employment medical examination after offer of\ employment has been made.
