We have a great opportunity for a Hybrid Accountant role that will work with both Accounts Payable and Payroll departments

In this role, you will be responsible for processing and auditing employee expense reports and supplier invoices using the Company’s Workday expense report system. You will also be auditing expense reports for completeness and accuracy, ensuring timely submission, compliance with company policy, and ensuring all expenses submitted are properly supported, coded, and authorized. This role demands a high level of attention to detail to properly monitor and maintain internal controls over expense report processing. Additionally, this role will be responsible for administering both company Corporate Card and Office Supply programs, as well as assisting with maintenance of various expense schedules.

Performs a variety of auditing, data entry and reporting activities required for bi-weekly payroll for over 3,000 associates varying from salaried, hourly (full and part time), and on-call ensuring sufficient, accurate, and timely payroll delivery. Provides high quality associate service effectively resolving payroll inquiries on a timely basis.

Key Accountabilities

Accounts Payable

  • Performs review/audit of Company T&E to policy

  • Performs Review of Supplier Payments

  • Administers Corporate Card Program and compliance with Company policy

  • Provides backup support for check printing & miscellaneous payment processing; maintains various payment schedules, etc.

Payroll

  • Inputs Short Term disability payments, garnishments and other one-time or ongoing payroll deductions

  • Prepares payroll liability, funding and ad hoc reporting

  • Performs audits and ad hoc tasks required for processing biweekly and annual payroll

  • Fields associate inquiries on how to retrieve their payroll information in Workday as needed (i.e. payslips, W-2 statements, tax and payment elections)

  • Provides backup support for payroll biweekly and annual payroll as required

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of accounts payable and/or payroll experience

  • Strict attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to process high volumes of data quickly and accurately, as well as the ability to use judgment and initiative

  • Understands all of the necessary and key functions of the job’s responsibilities, requiring instruction only on new assignments

  • Identifies key issues from conflicting or partial information

  • A strong financial understanding and the practical implications and deviations from duties and responsibilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and work well in teams to establish and maintain effective working relationships
