Wescott Agri Products Inc. Farmworkers/Laborers in Lake City, Minnesota
Need 14 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers/Laborers to work in Lake City, MN and in locations within Wabasha, Dakota, Goodhue, and Houston counties, Minnesota. From: 02/19/2024 to 11/02/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No work expected Saturdays or Sundays. Hours listed are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. A worker can earn bonuses based on performance. Bonuses are based on performance and are at the sole discretion of the employer. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. JOB DUTIES: pruning, weeding, thinning, tree planting and harvesting, general apple orchard tree and trellis maintenance on occasion, and perform any other orchard-related duties. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1 month experience, able to lift 50 lbs., able to work in extreme temperatures and perform work that requires extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
