NHBB Quality Inspector - 1st Shift in Laconia, New Hampshire

We are currently seeking a 1st shift Quality Inspector, for our Laconia Division located on 155 Lexington Drive, Laconia, NH 03246. The hours for this position will be 7:00 am -3:30 pm, Monday through Friday with the opportunity for overtime.
Occupational Summary:
This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of first piece, in-process and final inspection duties on all machined parts and assemblies, following standard practices.
Essential Functions:
Work from blueprints, drawings, process sheets, as well as written and verbal instructions.
Work with precision measuring instruments such as gauges
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspection of all machined parts involving numeric control, working with close and liberal tolerances
Perform visual inspection as well as using precision measuring instruments
Perform floor inspections, checking parts at various intervals
Reject, tag parts, prepare and maintain defective parts records and reports
Verify calibrations of gauges and related inspection equipment and supplies
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and conform to OSHA regulations
Perform housekeeping duties as necessary to maintain area in a neat and orderly fashion
Perform other duties as directed or required
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, G.E.D., or HiSET
Other Requirements:
Must have a solid work history
The ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions in English
The ability to work independently or as a part of a small team.
The successful completion of a background check
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to lift up to 40lbs
Stand for long periods of time
Use of hands to carry out job functions as well as lifting, carrying, bending, walking, pushing, pulling and stooping during the course of the job
