Working from our office in Lacey, WA, the Resource Development Director (RDD) works to maintain and grow our well-established fundraising initiatives to support organizational growth. They develop and strengthen key individual and community donor relationships, lead fundraising events, and maintain positive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
?With support from the CEO and the Chair of the Resource Development Committee Chair, the RDD will implement the vision and strategy for Homes First's resource development, marketing, and communication in order to expand brand reach and elevate the organization's recognition in the community. Their work inspires the commitment of the entire organization and the community at large in order to fulfill our mission.
?Your Abilities:
Candidates will be evaluated on the full range of their lived and learned experience, professional background, volunteer experience, and direct and transferable skills. Homes First is seeking candidates with a compelling combination of demonstrated experience and skills in some, or all, of the following areas:
?Mid-career professional with small shop (1.5 FTE) fundraising leadership experience preferred. Experience serving as a Director of Development, Development Manager, or similar role(s), or as a mid-level fundraising staff member of an organization, division, or department of comparable size.
You are a doer and a planner, and a big picture thinker.
Prior experience in fundraising, events, communication, and effect supervision is required.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to motivate, encourage and inspire co-workers, board members, partners, and constituents.
Possess strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with a diverse population, both within and outside Homes First
Must be capable of working in a fast paced, deadline oriented, and evolving work environment
You will bring business sense along with compassion for people to our organization.
Total Compensation & Benefits:
?The annual Starting Salary Range (D.O.E.): $72,000-$76,000 Full Range: $72,000 - $85,000
