Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including reviewing work orders at the start of your shift, performing preventative maintenance on baking ovens and packing machines, inspecting and testing machinery components such as bearings, gears, and shafts. You will also install and repair electrical apparatuses, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Additionally, you will be setting up and operating lathes, grinders, drills, and performing occasional fabrication to cut or join metal parts.
Responsibilities
Review work orders at the start of the shift.
Perform preventative maintenance on baking ovens and packing machines.
Inspect and test machinery components, including bearings, gears, and shafts.
Install and repair electrical apparatuses, gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
Set up and operate lathes, grinders, and drills.
Perform occasional fabrication to cut or join metal parts.
Essential Skills
Experience in maintenance and electrical work.
Ability to perform mechanical maintenance.
Experience with fabrication and welding.
1 year of experience setting up, repairing, and troubleshooting machinery within a manufacturing or production setting.
1 year of mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production setting.
6+ months of electrical and welding/fabrication experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to learn and take direction.
Experience with setting up and operating lathes, grinders, and drills.

Work Environment
This is a production environment that maintains an SQF System regulating quality within food safety. You will work shifts of 8 hours Monday-Friday. Or 12 hour shifts Sunday-Wednesday depending on openings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LA VISTA, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
