Quileute Tribal School Superintendent in La Push, Washington

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

Responsible for the oversight of all Federal, State, Tribal, and/or locally funded programs and projects: K12 Education; Business, Finance and Human Resources; Maintenance, Operations and Transportation; and Information Technology. 

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school, including staff supervision. Supervises and evaluates the Receptionist/Registrar,  District Leadership Team (Business, Finance and Human Resources Director; Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation Director; IT Network Administrator; and K-12 Principal).

Reviews and selects candidates for appointments, promotions, or reassignments.

Hears and resolves complaints; refers grievances that cannot be resolved at this level to the School Board; effects disciplinary measures, reviews disciplinary measures as per school policies, refers serious disciplinary measures with recommendations concerning resolution to the School Board.

Assists Human Resources personnel in the review of position descriptions, staff assignments, and staffing needs on a yearly basis.

Responsible for ensuring equal and fair employment opportunities in the selection of employees for hire, training, promotion, awards, recognitions, and other career development opportunities.
