Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule pre-employment medical testing for prospective employees, including but not limited to drug screenings, physical examinations, and other required tests.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
Collaborate within the Health and Safety department to ensure compliance with records retention policies and regulatory requirements related to pre-employment testing.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external medical providers, and candidates to facilitate the testing process and ensure timely completion of requirements.
Assist in the development and implementation of processes to streamline pre-employment testing procedures and improve efficiency.
Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping tasks related to medical documentation.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Previous experience as a medical clerk, medical assistant, or in a similar role is required.
Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and documentation practices.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as HIPAA.
Experience collaborating with Health and Safety departments on records retention and testing compliance is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
